I registered to pray at 5:00 am. I set the clock for ten minutes before so that I could get up and be alert to pray. I used the "Get Involved" portion of the website and prayed the Scriptures. Before today, I encouraged my entire church congregation to register and to get involved. I used the "Tell a Friend" link to email everyone in my address book. I encouraged my co-workers to be involved and put my certificate on the wall of my office so that everyone would know that I was praying for the elections. This also gave me the opportunity to share faith with one of my co-workers.

I "prayed the vote" from 4:30-5:00 this morning. I felt so incredibly connected to God and the future of our beautiful nation this morning. It was truly a moving experience. I have peace in my heart the Lord is watching out for us and all I could hear in my head the entire half hour was "This is My time." I walked away knowing full well the election is in His hands.

I feel privileged and blessed to be able to pray together for the same goal with other believers who I do not know. Isn't it amazing how God can orchestrate His will through people who seek His heart! I just completed my prayer time and what an awesome experience to know that I was lifting prayers in one accord with thousands more across the country! Heaven is resounding with the prayers of the faithful today and that we will continue with our prayers tomorrow through the elections and the reporting of results. We chose from 10-11 am to Pray the Vote today. It was an awesome experience. Tears freely flowed as I prayed using the Pray the Vote Resources. At first, we didn't know how we could pray for a whole hour but an hour wasn't long enough. The unfortunate part is that we are not American citizens so don't have the privilege of voting. But that didn't stop us from praying! We'll be back praying again on Election Day.

I sat in my studio at the radio station where I work and prayed for the election. It was so encouraging to pour out my heart to God about my fears, and to be reminded thru His Word that He is sovereign over all things, including elections. I listened to Fernando Ortega's song "Give Me Jesus" as I finished my hour, and wept at the reality that, at the heart of this believer is a desire for Jesus, not only in my life, but over all the affairs of men. May God have mercy on us, and give us leaders who love Him and His precepts. When the righteous rule, the people rejoice!

My tension and anxiety over the matter have turned to calm and trust. This morning the time flew by as I prayed through II Samuel 22, using it as a springboard for prayer for America and tomorrow's election. This is David's psalm of deliverance. I now want to encourage many others to join the Virtual Prayer Rally before the day is up.

In seeing that this is the eve of this crucial election, I have never felt so privileged as to be a part of the Pray the Vote effort. I truly felt God's presence during my time of individual prayer. The very first day I wore my Pray the Vote button a lady came up to me in the grocery store, thanking me for wearing the button and for praying. She said that she had been doing the same thing. It meant so much to me to be affirmed in my conviction that God does truly forgive this ungodly nation when asked to and He does hear and answer our prayer for righteous people to be elected to service. Our very biggest blessing is the steadfastness of the Lord and His promises to us as a nation. Hallelujah! He is in control, and His plan for America will prevail!
