Lord, some people have never heard the gospel in a personal way. Let this touch someone's heart that has never received, so that they may know that whosoever means them. Lord, I pray for our guys over in a foreign nation who do not acknowledge the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as the one true living God. But we know differently, and today I pray God that you will protect them by letting Your Truth be their "shield and buckler" Psalms 91:4. God, your "eyes go to and fro upon the earth, looking for those whose heart is right with you so that You can show Yourself mighty on their behalf." 2 Chron. 16:9a Father keep our guys safe not only in body, but in spirit and mind as well. Limit the horrors they have to endure and se:, protect their souls from despair and discouragement. Let them sleep the sleep of the beloved when they can sleep so they will wake with a feeling of being refreshed. Let their food nourish their bodies to do Thy will, Lord. First of all, thank you, for our brave Men and Women who are at the front lines, standing in the gap for our nation, laying down their lives in many ways for people they may never meet and for people that may never appreciate their sacrifices.
Many of whom we do not know and may never meet. Yet, you know them all and I know that they have a special place in your heart Lord!
Thank you for the sacrifies they are making for us and our Country. I appreciate them, and I pray that our Nation will begin to appreciate them too, regardless of their political views.
I ask you to strengthen them body, soul, and spirit. I ask you to cover them under the "shadow of your wings" and "keep them safe, lest they dash their foot against a stone".
Cause them to stay focused upon the task at hand and not loose their edge. Keep them from distractions of any kind and give them wisdom and insight to lead them and guide them wherever they go.
I pray that you would always casue them to stay "two steps" ahead of the enemy, yet give them a heart to forgive their enemies.
Last, but certainly not the least, I ask you Lord to please bring them home safely and quickly to their families and loved ones.
