Ah Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you." Jeremiah 32:17

Father we come to you this morning with thanksgiving and praise. Your word brings comfort to our hearts as we struggle with solutions to problems that we cannot solve. Is anything too hard for you? We ask as though we question you? Who are we to question you, yet that is exactly what we do. We tell you in our praying how to answer, and we expect you to do so. We complain when you don't, and we blame you for it. How foolish we are to think that we know more than you do. Will you forgive us this morning for our pride and haughty thinking? If you delay in answering us it because you are working everything together for our good. Do we trust you?

Will you be with President Obama today and we pray that he will open his heart and mind to acknowledge that you are God. You alone are all knowing, present everywhere at once, and hold all power. Who can question you?

I pray for my family and those I love that you will continue to help them in trusting you even when it seems impossible to do so. How they need to allow you time to answer their hearts cry.

I ask these things in your name, Lord Jesus. Amen.

Father we are thankful for this new day. As we begin this new month, may this song be our hearts cry. We need to be Holy, broken, faithful, and transformed into your likeness. How will this happen to us Father? In reading your word we see that it only happens when our heart has been formed to be like yours, our mind has been transformed like yours, and our will conforms to yours. Now we understand why the suffering, why the unanswered prayers, why the waiting in your presence. You are changing us to be like you. For this we thank you.

Will you continue to be with President Obama today and may he too be willing to be changed into your likeness? It will only happen if we continue in praying ever day for him.

I pray for my family and those I love who are filled with fear, doubt, and are ready to give up. May they read this prayer today and realize that you are the potter, they the clay, and if they are willing, you will transform them into your very likeness. Are they willing?

We are thankful Father for this new morning. How refreshing the air that you clean each day. As we read your word we understand that everything you do is guided by your wisdom and power. When you sent Jesus to us, you waited for your perfect timing. Prophecy was fulfilled in every detail. We pray, seeking your will and nothing seems to happen. We forget that you work through other people, and they are not always listening to you. We must wait for the fruit to ripen on a tree. We must wait for the bud to blossom, in order to enjoy its beauty. So too we must wait for your completion on our prayer. Waiting is hard for us because we live in an instant society. Will you forgive us today for being impatient with you, and seek your understanding and not our own?

Will you be with President Obama today and will you guide him with your perfect plan? You never fail, and unless he listens to you, he will.

I pray for my family and those I love that they will open their hearts to seek your will in prayer. They must surrender all of themselves to you, for you will not disappointment them as they wait in your presence.

Father, how we thank you for this beautiful summer morning. The sun is warm yet you have sent a gentle breeze for our comfort. How you love us! Your word this morning is a reminder of your justice. If we will read your word, fall in love with you and your truth, walking it in, we will have peace that passes all human understanding. There is no peace apart from you. Some may feel that they are not evil doers, but to serve self, in disobedience to you, is listening to the evil one. How foolish to choose another God to worship and serve. It is either you, or self. Which one will we choose?

Will you be with President Obama today and may he seek you, your word, and walk according to it? Will you remind us to pray for him to make wise choices beginning with you?

I pray for my family and those I love today that they will choose you and stop putting off their most important decision. Apart from you, there is no life here or in eternity.

Thank you Father for this day of praise and worship. May we open our hearts to learn about you. You have given the gift of wisdom to each of us who know you. If we choose to walk in your ways, then we will be discerning, and not act foolish. Without your wisdom we will do what seems right, but it will lead us to destruction now, and in eternity. Will you remind us that your word will never return void, and what you promise is true?

Will you be with President Obama again today and may he take time to worship and praise you? If he is wise, he will heed your warning and choose to serve you not man's opinion.

I pray for my family and those I love that they too will think about your warning and choose wisely. You see the heart, you know our thoughts, and your will judge us according to your word.

How blessed we are for another beautiful morning. Thank you Father. In reading about the response of Peter and Andrew, I wonder what we would have done? Would we immediately leave our profession and follow you? Where is our heart? What is our priority? Are we willing to set aside our own agenda to follow you? I wonder?

Will you be with President Obama today and may he take time to evaluate his heart's condition? Is he following you in serving our Nation, or is he following his own agenda? Will you remind me to pray for him today that he will listen and walk in obedience to your word?

I pray for my family and those I love who have been called to follow you. They are resistant, proud, selfish, preoccupied, and hostile to your word. How long will they ignore your voice believing that they are right? If they will listen, obey, and follow you, they will find a peace that cannot be measured by man.
