Day Thirty: For Candidates Who Will Listen to God as They Seek to Keep America Safe from Terror Attacks

But whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.

Mighty God, You alone are sovereign and all-knowing, and You see all peoples as they seek dominion and acclaim in the world.  You lift up nations and You break them down.  We thank You for building up our nation and making it great in the world.  Yet we know we are not without sin, and we are vulnerable to attack from many sides.  Thank You for Your continued protection over our country.

Lord, I ask that through this election You will raise up leaders who will take seriously the responsibility to keep our nation safe from every kind of attack.  Give great insight into the events taking place in the world, and help them to consult with You as they lead, so they may lead without fear.  Amen.
