Day Twenty Five: For Candidates to Walk in the Fear of God, Turning Their Backs on Evil

Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.
--Proverbs 3:7

O Majestic God, Your power and might are beyond the reach of my imagination.  You are to be feared for Your majesty and glory.  Today I am in awe of You and Your supremacy over everything. 

Lord, as I seek to have a proper fear and reverence of You in my life, grant that those running for office will grow in their understanding of You and will come to reverence and fear You as You deserve.  Show each one that they can trust in You, and indeed they will fare far better if they do trust in You rather than relying on their own wisdom.  May they hunger for You and in so doing, turn from evil.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
