Day Thirteen: For Candidates to Feel Freedom to Speak Openly About Faith

I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and salvation. I do not conceal your love and your truth from the great assembly.
--Psalm 40:10

Loving God, in Your goodness and love You have sought us out and offered us the free gift of salvation.  We praise and glorify You for such extraordinary love.  We thank You for saving us from death and hell and unrighteousness, for these lead to our destruction.  By our faith in You we are made alive. 

In this campaign may those running for the presidency and other public offices speak openly of their faith and convictions, acknowledging sources and expressing belief.  May there be such a climate of openness and discourse about faith that all persons can make clear and informed decisions about candidates.  Let none of the candidates hide their true faith, but let them speak openly and with freedom.  Thank You, Holy God.  Amen.
